Great article on how Americans feel about using technology to help them improve their health – check out the latest issue of Managed Healthcare Executive magazine.
Most people reading a blog post like this won’t be surprised by some of the findings in the recent Microsoft Health Engagement Survey outlined in the article – such as the fact that almost four in five of Americans find the idea of technology as a tool to solve their healthcare needs “inviting” instead of “intimidating.”
That includes a significant preference for telephone-based communication.
It’s a great opportunity – using the technologies that people are already using in their daily lives (whether that’s the phone, Facebook, or things we don’t even know about yet that the younger generation is already all over) to engage them in conversations about their health.
Not only that, but we also have an opportunity to address these topics in engaging ways that help make health a hobby.
